This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describes how Diapers Direct L.L.C. handles consumer health data, including information that may be subject to state consumer health privacy laws such as the Washington My Health My Data Act and Nevada consumer health data law.
Consumer health data we may collect
Because Diapers Direct sells adult incontinence and related care products, information linked or reasonably linkable to you may reveal or support an inference about bodily functions, symptoms, care needs, or health status. Consumer health data we may collect includes:
- Products, categories, sizes, absorbency levels, and care supplies you purchase or return.
- Order history or customer-service communications associated with incontinence or other health-related products.
- Shipping and contact information connected to those orders.
- Information you voluntarily provide when asking us for help selecting, replacing, returning, or reordering a health-related product.
Help Me Choose
Answers in the Help Me Choose guide currently stay in your browser while you use the guide and are not saved by Diapers Direct as questionnaire responses. The tool uses those temporary answers to display product suggestions. We will update this policy before materially changing that practice.
Sources of consumer health data
We collect consumer health data primarily from you, including through orders, account activity, return or support requests, and your interactions with the products and services you request from us. We may also derive limited health-related inferences from the products you purchase or request support for. We do not purchase consumer health data from data brokers.
Why we collect and use consumer health data
- Provide, process, fulfill, ship, and support products you request.
- Maintain order history and make repeat ordering available when you choose to use an account.
- Handle returns, refunds, product issues, and customer-service requests.
- Process payments and protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats.
- Maintain records required for tax, accounting, legal, and dispute-resolution purposes.
Consumer health data we share and with whom
We share consumer health data only as necessary to provide the product or service you requested, operate the store, or comply with law. Depending on the transaction, this may include:
- McKesson Medical-Surgical and applicable fulfillment partners: product ordered, quantity, recipient name, delivery address, contact details needed for delivery, and return or product-issue information.
- Authorize.Net: payment, billing, transaction, fraud-prevention, and refund information necessary to process your requested transaction.
- Hostinger and infrastructure/security providers: information stored or processed as part of hosting, security, backup, and technical operations.
- Professional advisers or authorities: information reasonably necessary for legal compliance, tax/accounting obligations, disputes, fraud prevention, security, or protection of rights.
We do not sell consumer health data. We do not share consumer health data for cross-site targeted advertising. We do not currently permit third-party advertising or behavioral tracking technologies on our store to collect consumer health data over time and across unrelated websites or online services. We do not use geofencing around health care facilities to identify or target consumers. We do not currently have affiliates with whom we share consumer health data.
Your consumer health data rights
Subject to applicable law and permitted exceptions, you may have the right to:
- Confirm whether we collect, share, or use your consumer health data and access that data.
- Request correction of inaccurate consumer health data.
- Request deletion of consumer health data.
- Withdraw consent for future collection or sharing when consent is the basis for processing.
- Receive information about categories of third parties with whom consumer health data is shared.
- Appeal a denial of a privacy request where applicable.
Submit a request by emailing diapersdirectllc@gmail.com with the subject line Consumer Health Data Request. For an appeal, use the subject line Privacy Appeal. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request.
Retention and deletion
We retain consumer health data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide requested products and services and meet legitimate operational, legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution needs. Deletion requests may be subject to lawful exceptions, including records we must retain to complete a transaction or comply with legal obligations.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect consumer health data, including access controls, encrypted connections, security monitoring, and service providers selected for their role in securely operating the store and processing payments.
Changes to this policy
If we begin collecting, using, or sharing additional categories of consumer health data or use consumer health data for materially different purposes, we will update this policy and obtain consent when required by applicable law.
